Privacy policy

Starcrate is made by Jacob Wallström AB, Sweden. Starcrate has no accounts and no servers of its own, and it collects nothing that identifies you.

Apple Music

With your permission, Starcrate reads your Apple Music library and plays music through Apple's MusicKit. Your library, playlists and ratings stay with Apple. Starcrate's settings stay on your device.

Crash and error reports

When Starcrate crashes or runs into an error, it sends a report to Sentry: the device model, the system and app version, the network state and the app's log from just before the error, which can include the titles of songs being played. Reports contain no name, email address or Apple Account.

Usage statistics

Starcrate sends anonymous usage statistics, such as when a track is skipped, to TelemetryDeck, together with technical details such as the device model, the system and app version and the language. They carry a random identifier that can't be traced back to you.

Use

Reports and statistics are used only to fix bugs and improve Starcrate. They are not sold, shared for advertising or used to track you.
